Other Announcements:
Bible Classes to Resume: Our regular schedule of Bible classes for both Sunday and Wednesday evening will resume this week.
Please note that the 4 PM Adult Bible class will meet in Room 412 instead of the chapel, as it was listed in Sunday’s Edifier.
Make plans to join us for a Church-Wide Picnic and Outdoor Worship Service Sunday, September 27! We will gather in our Chestnut Street-side parking lot beginning with a meal at 5 PM, followed by worship at 6 PM. Bring a chair and invite a friend! In an effort to keep everyone safe, the meal for this picnic will be provided. (grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, individual chips, cookies and drinks) There will not be a charge for the meal. In the event of inclement weather, we will move into the Fellowship Hall.
Flu shots will be available at Walnut Street on Friday, September 25 from 9-11 AM. Please call the church office at 615-446-2909 to make an appointment. (appointments will be required)
Thank you for your support of the addition of our 7 am Sunday morning service which is now open to everyone wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and observing contact precautions when not in the assembly. This expands the opportunities for Sunday worship to three in-person assemblies (7 am, 9 am, 6 pm). As we move about the building, our shepherds ask that in order to best love and honor one another we wear masks. During the 9 AM assembly, 6 PM assembly and Bible classes, masks are optional. Please be in prayer for all of our teachers and students as we resume this blessed time together as a church family. Please continue to pray for an end to the pandemic, for those who are weak or sick, and for those who are healthy that they remain so.
If you would like to contact the counseling center regarding an online appointment with Bud Lambert, please call 615-975-2395.

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
