We extend our sympathy to Larry Ryland in the loss of his brother, Cleon Ryland, who passed away Friday. Funeral services will be held May 27 in Boston, MA.

- Zachary Scruggs, who has returned home from the hospital
- Bea Owen, who has been moved to NHC for rehab
- Aubrey Badon, who is at home recovering from back surgery
- Ted Williams, who has tested positive for Covid
- Jim Tuggle, who is having some issues with medication
- Steve Brown, (brother of Paul Brown) who fell and broke his neck
- Timmy Sensing, (friend of Lennon & Tasha Spicer) who has stage four colon cancer
- Alex Hoffmann, (son of Kimberly Fowlkes) who has begun radiation treatments today for lymphoma
Other Announcements:
A group will meet Thursday, May 26 at 6 PM in the fellowship hall to set up tables and chairs for our upcoming 5th Sunday add-a-dish meal. Volunteers are appreciated!
Walnut Street’s Church Office and child care center will be closed on Monday, May 30 in observance of Memorial Day.
Make plans to attend our upcoming 5th Sunday Fellowship on Sunday, May 29, we will enjoy a 5th Sunday service at 9 AM, 10:15 Bible classes, followed by a add-a-dish meal. We will conclude our day with a mid-day service.
A Singing Class will begin this evening in the chapel. This class will be led by Chip Haslam, Steve Leach and Mark O’Neal.
Walnut Street’s Food Pantry is in need of the following items: spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, dry cereal, instant oatmeal packets and crackers.
Mark your calendars for Walnut Street’s Annual Young Men’s Leadership Camp and Young Ladies’ Spiritual Growth Day Camp to be held Sunday, June 5th through Wednesday, June 8th. Applications are available at the Welcome Center.
Our Sunday adult classes will be providing meals for our Young Men’s Leadership Camp and Young Ladies’ Spiritual Growth Camps. The schedule is as follows:
- Monday, June 6: 8 AM class and Auditorium class
- Tuesday, June 7: rooms 406 and 410
- Wednesday, June 8: Loft, chapel, room 412 and room 105
The Golden Deeds Ministry is collecting large trash bags during the month of May. Each month this ministry collects a different item to be shared with the homeless of our community. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.
