Other Announcements:
Ukraine Relief Effort – Healing Hands International is leading an effort to send relief to Ukrainian refugees who have fled their country into Poland and other countries. They are working with churches of Christ in those areas to coordinate the distribution of funds and supplies. Our shepherds are asking the Walnut Street church family to participate in this effort to assist those who are displaced. There are a couple of ways in which we can participate.
- Ukraine Bucket Challenge: Stop by the church office and pick up a bucket with a list of supplies you may purchase to fill that bucket. The items listed have been carefully selected to meet the needs of those who are displaced. Please purchase the items on the list, fill the bucket with those items, and bring the bucket to the building on Sunday morning, March 27.
- Financial Donation: if you would like to make a financial donation, you may make your check to Walnut Street Church of Christ and place it in the bucket at the Welcome Center on Sunday March 27.
Please prayerfully consider your participation in this effort. It is the prayer of our shepherds that these supplies and funds will exalt Jesus in the lives of those who receive them. If you have questions regarding this effort, please contact anyone in the office.
Bible Readings for today:
- 2022 Bible Reading Plan: Psalms 27-29
His Family Devotional Text: 6 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. 4 Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, 5 for each one should carry their own load. 6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
