Congratulations to Jaxson Shelton who was baptized Monday. Jaxson is the son of Robert and Kimberly Shelton.
We extend our sympathy to Freida Givens in the loss of her husband, Edison Givens, who passed away Thursday. Funeral services were held yesterday at the Dickson Funeral Home. He was the father of Kirk Givens and the grandfather of Kelby, Esther and Ben Givens.
Prayers are requested for:
- Tommy Badon, who is recovering from surgery for a detached retina
- Lewis & Janice Curd, who will see the heart doctor on Tuesday; Lewis will undergo surgery on September 18 at Centennial
- Barbara Frazier, (mother of Meagan Grosvenor; St. Thomas West room 498) who will undergo additional surgery today
- The family and friends of Don Gover, (friend of many at Walnut Street and FHU) who passed away September 6

Our own Shasta Brown will speak at an upcoming Ladies’ Day at the Rosemark Church of Christ in Rosemark, TN on Saturday, September 22. Registration will begin at 9:30 AM; lunch will be served. All ladies are welcome to attend.
