We extend our sympathy to Jean Pass (former Walnut Street member), in the loss of her husband, Bill Pass. Visitation will be held October 13 from 1-3 PM until the time of the memorial service at 3 PM at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home on Donelson Pike. He was the uncle of TJ Pass.

Langston Shouse, (3 yr. old grandson of Mike & Jeannette) who has cerebral palsy and is scheduled for Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery on October 16 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio
Mike & Jeannette Shouse, who will be traveling to Ohio for their grandson’s surgery
Monteen Roberson, (mother of Thelma Ryland) who is recovering from skin graft surgery
Shanta Hinson, (member of Water Street and friend of many at Walnut Street), who will have scans on Wednesday to evaluate the success of treatment for cancer
Buddy Yates, (father of Mike Yates) who has been placed on hospice care
Justin Cochran, (son of former member Daniel Cochran) who is in ICU at Centennial Medical Center

Tennessee’s Governor Bill Lee has declared Thursday, October 10 as an official, state-wide day of prayer and fasting.

October’s items for the Golden Deeds Ministry are lotion and a blanket.

On Sunday, October 13, Walnut Street will begin a series entitled “When Life Happens…Finding Christ’s Peace in Treacherous Seas”. If you would like to have a postcard invitation to share with a friend, they are available in the church office as well as the Welcome Center. This series will be held from 5-6:30 PM each Sunday through December 22. Attached to Careline is a copy of the postcard invitation for you to share with your friends!

Make note that this month’s Wednesday Express Meal will be held on October 16 (one week later) due to Fall Break. The meal will begin at 6 PM and the menu will be BBQ chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese and dessert.
