We extend our sympathy to Larry Crownover and family in the loss of his brother, Larry Ted Crownover, who passed away Monday. Funeral arrangements are not known at this time.

We extend our sympathy to Margaret Williams in the loss of her granddaughter, Maddy Virdin. Funeral services were held yesterday at Taylor Funeral Home.

Join us in celebrating the life of Eddie Aline DeLoach, on Saturday, October 24 (2 PM) at the Willow Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville, TN. Eddie passed away August 15 and was the wife of former Walnut Street minister, Clarence DeLoach and the sister-in-law of Millie Denton and Bea Owen.

Prayers have been requested for:
• Norma Vetter, who will undergo tests on Wednesday and cancer surgery on Friday
• Lynn Mathis, who will continue to be monitored by doctors for a brain tumor that is cutting off blood flow to her brain; additional tests in the future
• Fara White, who is recovering from foot surgery
• Pat Berry, who is at home recovering from 5 broken ribs
• The Lott family, who responded Sunday evening for the relocation to Dickson
• Joy Adkins, who responded Sunday evening asking for prayers in coping with stress and anxiety in her life and for Evelyn Adkins who remains in Centennial Medical Center at this time
• Helen Myatt, who has health issues
• Carl Fuqua, (husband of Peggy Fuqua and father of Emily Hill) who has a brain tumor and is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday
• Tom Leach, (father of Steve Leach) who is recovering from a stroke and will go to rehab

The 8 AM Bible class is requiring everyone to wear a mask and observe contact precautions when in the building.

Don’t forget our Fall Outreach: Boo Fest on Main is just around the corner. We are accepting candy donations for this event in the gathering room and the church office. We are also in need of volunteers to help decorate, and to work at the booth that will be located in front of our counseling building.

The Homebuilders Group will host their annual Hayride and Bonfire on Saturday, October 24 from 5 to 8 PM at the home of Joseph and Jamie Brown. The group will provide hotdogs, chips, water and s’mores. (a $5 donation would be appreciated but not required). Kids are welcome to wear their costumes and enjoy games and hayrides. Contact Joseph or Jamie Brown for more details.

Churches of Christ Disaster Relief is in need of volunteers (groups of 8-10 people, 16 years of age and older) to pack food boxes at their warehouse. For safety reasons, ours would be the only group at the warehouse at the time that we schedule. If you have a group that would like to participate (friends, family, ministry group) please call the church office and we will contact Churches of Christ Disaster Relief.

October’s item for the Golden Deeds Ministry is toilet paper. This item will be added to the backpacks for the homeless in our community. There is a collection bin in the Gathering Room.

Walnut Street will be participating in the Habitat for Humanity build in Dickson on Saturday, October 31. If you are interested in volunteering for the build please contact Mike Yates at 615-630-0483.
