We extend our sympathy Gary Holland and family in the loss of his sister, Peggy Mullinicks, who passed away Sunday morning. Visitation will be held today from 3-8 PM and Wednesday from 9 until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM at the Luff Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN.
We extend our sympathy to the family of Amanda Perry (friend of many at Walnut Street), who passed away yesterday. Funeral arrangements are not known at this time.
Prayers have been requested for:
- Curtis Southerland, who will undergo surgery today at Centennial Hospital; room 7107
- Kimberly Fowlkes, who is scheduled to have more PRP knee injections on Wednesday
- Kathy Richardson, (mother of Brian Richardson) who has a broken vertebra in her neck
- Wayne Heflin, who returned home from the hospital Sunday afternoon
- Colton Chamberlain, (grandson of Dorinda Wilson) who is still in Centennial battling an infection
- Lynne Fussell, (step mother of Keith Fussell, friend of many at Walnut Street) who has been hospitalized at Horizon Medical Center

Walnut Street will participate in Boo Fest on Main again this year! Make plans to join us Saturday, October 30 from 5-7 PM, in the parking lot beside our counseling building. We need lots of candy donations, and those can be brought to the office or the Gathering Room. We would like to borrow one or two Halloween themed inflatables to help decorate the space. Please call or email the church office if you have one of these to loan.
Walnut Street will host a mobile blood drive today from 9 AM to 2 PM. There is a critical need for type O donors, and a $20 gift card will be given to any type O donor. Free Covid-19 antibody testing is also available.
Join us for a Gift Card Shower honoring Evan & Mary Catherine Radtke. A box for gift cards will be located in the Upper Gathering Room on Sunday, October 24. Mary and Evan are registered at Amazon, Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Just a reminder that all adult classes are invited to meet in the auditorium for Wednesday night classes for the following dates: October 20, 27 and November 3. This week’s lesson is Dealing with the Loss of an Adult Child and will be taught by Steve Baggett.
The Golden Deeds Ministry is collecting small tools and flashlights during the month of October. Each month this ministry collects a different item to be shared with the homeless of our community. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.
