We extend our sympathy to Lesa Cude and family in the loss of her mother, Wilma Dudley. A funeral service was held Monday at Taylor Funeral Home. She was the grandmother of Allee Cude, Spencer Cude and Matthew Cude.
We extend our sympathy to Meghan Richardson in the loss of her grandfather, Gene Overton. A graveside service was held Friday.
We extend our sympathy to Mike Yates and family in the loss of his father, Buddy Yates. Funeral services were held Sunday. He was also the grandfather of Parker Yates and Natalie Yates.
Congratulations to Billy Anderson, (guest of Walnut Streets Men’s Mission House) who was baptized Sunday morning.

• Langston Shouse, (3-year-old grandson of Mike & Jeannette) who has cerebral palsy and is scheduled for Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery on Wednesday at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Don’t forget our Fall Outreach: Trunk-Or-Treat is just around the corner. We need treats and exhibits. Once again, we will host this outreach in Fellowship Hall from 6 to 7:30 on Saturday, October 26. The indoor location removes weather as an issue and provides the best crowd control. Please sign-up to host a table at the sign-up table in the Gathering Room. Each year at this outreach we have given Bibles or our devotional books to our visitors. Please save this date and plan to be a part of this time of fellowship and outreach.
Beginning Sunday, November 3 there’s an Early Worship Assembly, “Manna In The Morning”, will be offered at 6 AM in the chapel.
Beginning Wednesday, November 6 the new time for evening Bible study will be held at 6:30 PM.
Our next Food for Thought is Tuesday, November 12 at 12 noon. This year we will celebrate and recognize the service of all U.S. military veterans at this gathering. Please invite the veterans you know to join us for a lunch in their honor. Veterans and all first time guests eat for free. Our speaker will be Walter Crafton, retired U.S. Army. Please RSVP your number no later than Friday, November 8.

Sunday, October 13, started Walnut Street series entitled “When Life Happens…Finding Christ’s Peace in Treacherous Seas”. If you would like to have a postcard invitation to share with a friend, they are available in the church office as well as the Welcome Center. This series will be held from 5-6:30 PM each Sunday through December 22. This week’s lesson is entitled “Enslaved by Addiction”.
Make note that this month’s Wednesday Express Meal will be held on October 16. The meal will begin at 6 PM and the menu will be BBQ chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese and dessert.
