Other Announcements:
Ukraine Relief Effort – Healing Hands International is leading an effort to send relief to Ukrainian refugees who have fled their country into Poland and other countries. They are working with churches of Christ in those areas to coordinate the distribution of funds and supplies. Our shepherds are asking the Walnut Street church family to participate in this effort to assist those who are displaced. There are a couple of ways in which we can participate.
- Ukraine Bucket Challenge: Stop by the church office and pick up a bucket with a list of supplies you may purchase to fill that bucket. The items listed have been carefully selected to meet the needs of those who are displaced. Please purchase the items on the list, fill the bucket with those items, and bring the bucket to the building on Sunday morning, March 27.
- Financial Donation: if you would like to make a financial donation, you may make your check to Walnut Street Church of Christ and place it in the bucket at the Welcome Center on Sunday March 27.
Please prayerfully consider your participation in this effort. It is the prayer of our shepherds that these supplies and funds will exalt Jesus in the lives of those who receive them. If you have questions regarding this effort, please contact anyone in the office.
The Café Crafters will meet today from 10-2 in the Loft. The group will enjoy a potluck lunch and learn to crochet. If you are interested in more details, including a supply list, contact Amy Brown or check the ladies’ FaceBook page. If you need a ride contact Amy Brown or Christine Hall.
Bible Readings for today:
- 2022 Bible Reading Plan: Ruth
His Family Devotional Text: 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. 5 1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 4:29-5:2
