Make plans to attend Walnut Street’s annual Indoor Picnic on Sunday, February 9. In conjunction with this year’s picnic, we will enjoy a chili cookoff – so get your best chili recipe out and be ready to compete…or just eat! Begin bringing your food items and enjoy fellowship from 3-4 PM. The meal will begin at 4 PM (chili, hot dogs and brownies and cookies). Our evening worship service will begin at 5 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Don’t forget to bring games, lawn chairs and a friend!

Join us for these two upcoming fellowship meals – on Tuesday, February, we will host Food for Thought beginning at noon. Speaker will be Steve Baggett. Deadline to sign up is this Friday. On February 12 we will enjoy our monthly Wednesday Express Meal beginning at 5:30 PM. The menu will be pizza, sub sandwiches, and salad. Bob Spencer’s Loft class is hosting this meal.

Cissy Williams will host a beginner’s cooking class on February 8 and a beginner’s sewing class on February 15, both at her home. Sign-up sheets and additional information are available in the Gathering Room.

Reading for today: And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness [a]for holiness.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. Romans 6:18-20
