Other Announcements:

“Our recent addition of the 7am service has met a need for a segment of our church family who are considered higher risk for contracting COVID-19, but still desire an in-person worship gathering. The recommendations put in place the 7am worship (wearing a mask, practicing social distance, and observing contact precautions when not in the assembly) are appreciated by this group. Others, while appreciating the overflow seating option of Fellowship Hall during the 9am service, find themselves desiring the worship benefit of the “in-person” gathering. Some, due to the limited capacity of the auditorium, struggle to find seating. Beginning Sunday, August 23, for those willing to observe all the recommendations of the 7am worship service, but who may not necessarily be considered in the “high-risk” category, you are invited to attend this assembly. The need for opening the 7am assembly to others, while still observing the recommendations, is a positive sign that week to week, more see a resumption of a “normal” pattern of life. We believe hearts are still made glad when coming to the house of the Lord to worship (Psalm 122:1). Please continue to pray for an end to this pandemic. Pray for those who are weak and sick. Pray for those who are healthy, to remain so. Please take advantage of our three opportunities for “in-person” worship on Sundays at 7am, 9am, and 6pm. Please know you are loved.”

Out of an abundance of care for the safety and well-being of our brothers and sisters, the Shepherds encourage everyone to wear a mask during the more crowded times of entering and exiting the building. As a convenience, masks will be available at all entry doors. This is a measure that is promoted by the CDC, especially to reduce the spread of the virus by the wearer. This is an expression of thoughtfulness of others more than ourselves.

A Leadership Retreat will be held Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23 for all 11th -12th graders. Contact Bob or Alan to sign up. There is no cost!
