Other Announcements:

While the church office still remains on quarantine, we have resumed our normal weekly schedule starting this week. The office is available by phone, text, email or curbside. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8-5, Wednesday 8-4:30, Friday 8-4).

Unusual times call for unusual celebrations! Everyone is invited to a DRIVE-BY bridal shower honoring Christy Lampley, bride-elect of Steve Marrs on Sunday, May 3 from 1-3 PM. Please enter the Walnut Street office/childcare parking lot and follow the balloons to the covered awning. Christy or one of the shower hostesses will come to your car. Christy is registered at Hodges, Patina, Wal-Mart, Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If your gift has been delayed in shipping, please stop by to encourage Christy anyway!

CIA members (3rd – 5th grade) will have a drive- by parade to encourage our members. CIA members and parents are asked to come to the church parking lot across from the Front Porch restaurant at 2 pm on Saturday, May 2. Please decorate your car window with a sign and, if you can, bring a small potted plant, card, or helium balloon to leave on the porch or mailbox to encourage a member. CIA members – if you plan to participate, have your parents call or text Pat Pewitt (615-970-9172) or Mandy (615-579-6751) by Thursday for more details. If you know of someone who would be encouraged by a parade visit, please let the church office know.

Communion supplies will be available for you to pick up each weekday from 9 AM to 4 PM. When you arrive, call the office (615-446-2909) and we will bring supplies to your vehicle.
Bud Lambert continues to meet with his clients online. The counseling office can be reached at 615-975-2395.
College and high school seniors, please begin sending your graduation photos to Shawn at sharmon@wscoc.com. Please include your post-graduation plans.
During these days, many of our people are relying on technology, some more than usual. If you need tech support with your tablet, smartphone, laptop, or smart-TV, please email us your question at: askwalnutstreet@wscoc.com. We will do our best to respond personally to your question and help offer support in some way.
CareLine is recorded by phone daily and contains all current information for those not receiving it via email – 615-446-1909. If you know someone who could benefit from this, please let them know they can call our CareLine.
Walnut has a new, public FaceBook page entitled Walnut Street Church of Christ-Digital Worship. Please spread the word to your friends and family that this new public page will be a great source for both our live stream and recorded worship Sunday worship services and Wednesday evening Bible study. Bryan’s lessons will still be accessible through our website as well as CareLine.
If you do not have internet access, DVD recordings are available by request. Please call the office and provide 24 hours for those to be copied. Sermons can also be viewed on local cable access channel 19 Sundays at noon, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 AM.

Reading for today: 12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles: 14 Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; 15 Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot; 16 Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot who also became a traitor.
