Other Announcements:
Walnut Street will participate in Boo Fest on Main again this year! Make plans to join us Saturday, October 30 in the parking lot beside our counseling building. We need lots of candy donations, and those can be brought to the office or the Gathering Room. We also need volunteers for this fun community outreach!
The Golden Deeds Ministry is collecting small tools and flashlights during the month of October. Each month this ministry collects a different item to be shared with the homeless of our community. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.
Walnut Street will host our annual Household Item Swap and Giveaway on Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2 in the Fellowship Hall. Set up and swap will begin Friday at 4:30 PM and end at 7 PM. Saturday’s give-away will be held from 9 AM-12 PM Saturday and is open to the public. No clothing or shoes will be accepted, and unclaimed items must be picked up by 12 PM Saturday. At 1PM Saturday, a truck from The Help Center will be picking up all of the items that are left over. If you have additional questions, contact Debbie Horsley at 615-852-3159. A Sign-up sheet is available in the Gathering Room for volunteers for Friday night and Saturday morning.
