We extend our sympathy to Dale and Karen Byrum in the passing of Dale’s father, Bob Byrum, Monday morning. Funeral services will be held today at 1 PM in Franklin, KY.

- Ira Weatherspoon, who is recovering from shoulder surgery

Today Walnut Street will host the American Red Cross Blood Drive (10:30 AM to 3 PM) here in our Fellowship Hall. Due to current and recent hurricanes, the need for blood donations has reached a critical level. Please donate if you are able.
Rachel Donegan will be offering flu shots (anyone over 14) on Friday, October 12 from 9-10 AM in the library. Cost is $40 if paying cash, no charge for Medicare or many other insurances.
Men’s Devo for October 15 is cancelled.
Make plans to attend this month’s Wednesday Express Meal, October 17 at 6 PM. Menu is barbeque chicken, macaroni and cheese and green beans.
The Men’s and Women’s Mission Houses need some basic repairs. If you have some experience with construction, we can use your help on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20. There is a sign-up sheet in the Gathering Room detailing specific areas of need. For more information please see Sherman Cline.
Walnut Street’s annual Trunk or Treat outreach event will take place on Saturday, October 27. Please begin bringing candy and treats! A basket has been placed in the lower Gathering Room.
Sign-up sheets are available in the Gathering Room for a Senior Ministry trip to Tuscumbia, AL on October 25. The group will tour the birthplace and home of Helen Keller, as well as the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Space is limited to the first 50 people to sign up and pay.
Homebuilders, mark your calendars for a bonfire and hayride on Friday, October 26 at the home of Joseph and Jamie Brown. More details to come.
Shut-in visitation team members are reminded to pick up cards Sunday following evening service.
