Please make note of this additional Sunday Worship Opportunity –On Sunday’s there will be a 7:00 AM worship assembly for those with underlying health concerns. Masks will be required during this assembly, and social distancing practices must be maintained. This assembly will be limited only to those who fall into the high-risk category for Covid-19.
Everyone is invited to a Drive-By bridal shower honoring Stephanie Wright, bride-elect of Jay Peeler, on Sunday, August 9 from 1-2:30 PM. Stephanie is registered at Target and Wal-Mart. She is the daughter of Richard and Lisa Wright.
The 2020 start to a new school year will be unique in its launch. We’re collecting liquid hand soap, hand sanitizer, and empty spray bottle (new). Look for the collection bins in the Gathering Room or drop your items at the church office by Sunday, August 9th.
Join us for the annual Mother-Daughter banquet to be held August 10 at 6 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Cost is $14 for adults and $10 for those 7-11 years old. (children under 6 are free). Call the church office to sign up no later than noon on August 6. Please note that pictures will be taken between 5:15 and 5:45 PM.
Are you interested in a joy ride? Join in on the fun with a 4X4 Trail Ride, Saturday, August 8. Meet at the Renaissance Center parking lot at 10 AM to travel to Hickman County for an off-road ride. This is open to anyone with a 4X4 car or truck only. (Sorry, no 4-wheelers or dirt bikes on this experience.) Also, after the ride all are welcome to have lunch at Fish Camp in Centerville (optional of course). Invite a friend and call the office to reserve your spot.
Walnut Street’s food pantry is currently in need of peanut butter, mac-n-cheese, carrots, cereal and green peas. As always, thank you for your generosity.
The Golden Deeds ministry is collecting pens or pencils during the month of August. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.
