- Edna Turbeville, (mother of Phil Turbeville and grandmother of Joey Turbeville) who is very ill
- Jimmy Darden, (brother of Thelma Ryland) who has been hospitalized in Arkansas with pneumonia and other health issues
- Phillip Rhodes, who came forward Sunday night requesting prayers in his search for the Lord. Phillip is currently staying at our men’s mission house.
- Liz Graham, who fell and broke two bones in her leg
- Christine Hall, who is recovering from surgery to repair a torn Achilles heel
- Roy Burkhart, who continues with treatments
- Ira Weatherspoon, who is recovering from shoulder surgery

Walnut Street’s Alzheimer’s Support Group welcomes special guest speakers Sue Bell and Dr. Sally Willard Burbank to the Sunday, October 28 meeting. They are authors of the book “The Alzheimer’s Disease Caregiver’s Handbook, What to Remember When They Forget”. The meeting begins at 4:30 PM in room 101. Everyone is welcome.
All ladies are invited to the Ladies’ Fall Fellowship tonight at 6 PM. Bring your favorite soup, salad, sandwich or dessert to share and enjoy a great evening! Devotional speaker is Kay Gonzales.
Churches of Christ Disaster Relief needs volunteers to help pack food boxes for hurricane victims on Monday, October 22 at 10 AM.
Pictorial Directories are available for pickup in the office or at each service in the Gathering Room.
All 3rd through 5th graders, along with their families, are invited to the annual CIA Hayride this Saturday from 2-5:30 PM. The bus will leave from the office side of the building at 2 PM.
The Men’s and Women’s Mission Houses need some basic repairs. If you have some experience with construction, we can use your help today and Saturday. For more information please contact Sherman Cline.
Walnut Street’s annual Trunk or Treat outreach event will take place on Saturday, October 27. Please begin bringing candy and treats! A basket has been placed in the lower Gathering Room.
Sign-up sheets are available in the Gathering Room for a Senior Ministry trip to Tuscumbia, AL on October 25. The group will tour the birthplace and home of Helen Keller, as well as the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Deadline to sign up and pay is Sunday evening.
The Homebuilders group will enjoy a hayride and bonfire on Friday, October 26. The fun will begin at 6 PM and hot dogs, drinks, marshmallows and hot chocolate will be provided. Each family needs to bring a bag of chips, a few graham crackers and chocolate if they want smores. Bring a chair!
Are you interested in joining the hurricane relief efforts in Florida, North Carolina or South Carolina? The Churches of Christ Disaster Response Team is currently set up in New Bern, NC and Wilmington, NC. Soon they will also be at the Jenks Ave. Church of Christ in Panama City, FL to help with the cleanup. Dates are Nov 6-11 and Nov.17-21. Housing and food will be provided.
