We extend our sympathy to Margaret Williams in the loss of her granddaughter, Maddy Virdin, who passed away Wednesday following a battle with cancer. Visitation will be held Monday from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM at Taylor Funeral Home.

• Fara White, who will undergo foot surgery on Monday
• Dan Erranton, who has received great news from his scans
• Ira Weatherspoon, who is recovering from shoulder replacement surgery
• Allen Corlew and his family in the Philippines as they work on transitioning to the United States
• Will Hart, who responded Sunday evening asking for prayers for his battle with addiction
• Doug and Becky Watkins, (friends of the Hinson and Scruggs families) who are raising their granddaughter, Cori
• David Porter, who is experiencing back pain
• Jeff Kuhns, (elder of Burns Church of Christ and friend of Marsha Hutsell) who has been placed under hospice care

Walnut Street deacons, please make plans to attend a very important meeting this Sunday at 5 PM in room 412.
The 8 am Bible class is requiring everyone to wear a mask and observe contact precautions when in the building.
Don’t forget our Fall Outreach: Boo Fest on Main is just around the corner. We are accepting candy donations for this event in the gathering room and the church office. We are also in need of volunteers to assist in a number of ways. Be thinking about ways you can serve our community through this event.
The Homebuilders Group will host their annual Hayride and Bonfire on Saturday, October 24 from 5 to 8 PM at the home of Joseph and Jamie Brown. The group will provide hotdogs, chips, water and s’mores. (a $5 donation would be appreciated but not required). Kids are welcome to wear their costumes and enjoy games and hayrides. Contact Joseph or Jamie Brown for more details.
Churches of Christ Disaster Relief is in need of volunteers (groups of 8-10 people, 16 years of age and older) to pack food boxes at their warehouse. For safety reasons, ours would be the only group at the warehouse at the time that we schedule. If you have a group that would like to participate (friends, family, ministry group) please call the church office and we will contact Churches of Christ Disaster Relief.
October’s item for the Golden Deeds Ministry is toilet paper. This item will be added to the backpacks for the homeless in our community. There is a collection bin in the Gathering Room.
Walnut Street will be participating in the Habitat for Humanity build in Dickson on Saturday, October 31. If you are interested in volunteering for the build please contact Mike Yates at 615-630-0483.
