Congratulations to Heather Buckner, who was baptized Monday.
We extend our sympathy to Marie Sawyer and Martha Owen in the loss of their sister, Marion Holland, who passed away Monday. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 AM until the time of a memorial service at 11 AM at Burns Church of Christ.
We extend our sympathy to Jim Williams in the loss of his wife, Ruby Williams, who passed away Sunday. Ruby was the mother of Robin Nelson, Ted Williams, and Troy Williams. Funeral services were held yesterday here at Walnut Street.
We extend our sympathy to Cheryl Clark in the loss of her husband, William “Lucky” Clark, who passed away Friday. A reunion of family and friends will be held here at Walnut Street on Saturday, January 27 from 1-3 PM.

- Joan Myatt, who has moved to Dickson Healthcare and Rehab for therapy

- Marie Cathey, (sister of Larry Crownover) who is in critical care at St. Thomas Rutherford
- Rob Terrell, (son of Bob & Barbara Terrell, former minister of Walnut Street) who is in a Santa Monica, CA hospital with pancreatic cancer

A basket will be available in the Gathering Room Sunday morning for ladies to bring donations of costume jewelry and make up (sample sizes will work great) for Mata Tzanetos, (wife of missionary Dino Tzanetos). Mata gives these items to the ladies of the congregation who are unable to purchase them due to the severe economic depression. Small make-up bags would also be useful. Thank you for your generosity!
All ladies are invited to a come-and-go bridal shower honoring Sarah Wortman,
bride-elect of Carter Turbeville, on Sunday, February 4 from 1-2:30 PM. Sarah is registered at Target, Pottery Barn and Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
The Senior Ministry will enjoy an outing to the Front Porch Restaurant for an Italian buffet on Monday, February 12. Cost is $12 and space is limited to the first 65 who sign up and pay. See Kim Long or Ray Barger.
Ladies, mark your calendars for the upcoming Ladies’ Retreat to be held February 2-3 at Camp Lake Benson. Sign-up in the Gathering Room January 14-28. Payment must be made when signing up.

Just a reminder that pictures for Walnut Street’s New Pictorial Directory are underway. Pictures will be taken in the church Library. Enter through the Church Office/Child Care doors.
