- Gary Clardy, who will see a neurosurgeon on August 10 regarding back pain
- Deanna Wheeler, who is undergoing tests
- Kimberly Fowlkes, who broke a bone in her foot and will wear a boot
- Charlie Daniel, who has covid
- Bud Lambert, who recently spent a couple of days in the hospital and continues to experience complications from POTS disease
- Ken Dickerson, (father of Kyle Dickerson) who received good results from tests
- Jeff Yates, (brother of Mike Yates) who is recovering from hip replacement surgery

All 3rd-5th graders are invited to the CIA Picnic in the park on Saturday, August 20 from 10:30 AM to 1 PM. Meet at Walnut Street at 10:30. Look for a sign-up sheet in the Gathering Room.
Our Wednesday Express Meal is next week…make plans to attend! Our menu this month is BBQ chicken, baked potatoes, salad and dessert. Cost is $5 per person or $15 per family. Look for a QR code in Sunday’s Edifier.
Make plans to attend Walnut Street’s annual Mother-Daughter Banquet to be held Monday, August 8th. Pictures will be taken from 5:15-5:45 PM and dinner will begin at 6 PM. Senior girls and their moms will speak. Call the church office to sign up. Cost is $10 for ages 6-12 and $15 for adults. (no charge for children under 5)
This coming Sunday, August 7, Bruce McLarty will speak at 9 AM and will teach Bible class for everyone 7th grade and up. David Shannon will speak at our 6 PM assembly. Be sure to check out the FHU Presidential Trek in our parking lot following worship service.
The Golden Deeds Ministry is collecting men’s t-shirts (all sizes) during the month of August. Each month this ministry collects a different item to be shared with the homeless of our community. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.
