We extend our sympathy to Linda Hayes in the loss of her cousin, Chasity Peeler, who passed away Monday. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

- Sandra Bradford, (aunt of Chad & Ashley Fussell) who has been placed on comfort care at StoneCrest Medical Center
- Kasey Dickerson, who responded to the invitation Sunday morning and requested prayers
- Gary Clardy, who is recovering from back surgery
- C. Tidwell, who has returned home from the hospital
- Pat Berry, who remains at Horizon Medical Center; is improving
- Elizabeth Land, (mother of Janet Bass) who suffered a stroke in her eye yesterday; undergoing tests at Vanderbilt University Medical Center
- Drew Reynolds, (son of Nancy Reynolds) who has returned home from the hospital
- Janie Bogus, (cousin of Debbie Henderson) who has been placed under hospice care
5th Quarter begins this evening after the game until midnight for all 6th -12th grades in the Loft.
Walnut Street’s Church Office and Child Care Center will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.
Join us in welcoming Joe Deweese this Sunday morning, September 4, as he speaks at our morning and evening worship services. All adult classes will meet, Joe will teach the auditorium class. We are looking forward to visiting with the Deweese family!
We’re making preparations for a much needed, building-wide clean-up day on Saturday, September 10. There will be indoor, as well as outdoor tasks and a wide range of skill levels can be used. There will be sign-up sheets available in Bible classes Sunday morning.
Make plans to join us on September 14 for our Wednesday Express Meal. This month’s menu is fried chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese, rolls and dessert. A QR code will be available in Sunday’s Edifier. The Sunday morning auditorium class will serve and provide dessert for this meal. There will be a sign-up sheet available this Sunday.

Fall quarter classes for children will begin Sunday, September 4, and Wednesday, September 7.
The Golden Deeds Ministry is collecting sheets and pillowcases (twin or queen) during the month of September. Each month this ministry collects a different item to be shared with the homeless of our community. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.
