We extend our sympathy to Jim Williams in the loss of his sister-in-law, Frances Jones, who passed away Tuesday. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 PM until the time of the graveside service at 4 PM at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Jackson, TN. She was the aunt of Robin Nelson, Troy Williams, and Ted Williams
We extend our sympathy to Steve Baggett and family in the loss of his sister-in-law, Margaret Baggett, who passed away Monday evening. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8 PM and Friday from 11 AM until the time of the service at noon at Sellars funeral home in Lebanon, TN.
Prayers have been requested for:
- Pat Berry, who will undergo surgery this afternoon for a blocked colon
- Mavis Ragan, recovering from surgery for a fractured hip
- JC Tidwell, who has been hospitalized with covid
- Paul Brown, who is undergoing tests for heart issues
- Lee Bogus, (cousin of Debbie Henderson) who has been hospitalized and is too weak to take chemo treatments
- Bobby Wright, (father of Richard Wright) who has been placed on hospice care in Georgia
Sunday, August 28 we will have a special opportunity to financially assist with eastern Kentucky flood relief and the Ukrainian refugee family discussed by Gaylan Brown and Jonah Marlin this past Sunday. Please make these offerings by check or cash. To contribute by check, please identify on each check which effort you are supporting. There will be labeled baskets at the Welcome Center.
The Golden Deeds Ministry is collecting men’s t-shirts (all sizes) during the month of August. Each month this ministry collects a different item to be shared with the homeless of our community. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.
