We extend our sympathy to John Lampley in the loss of his grandmother, Gwendolyn Lampley, who passed away Monday in Franklin, TN. Visitation will be held today from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
We extend our sympathy to Lori Teal in the loss of her cousin, Jackie Hughes, who passed away Sunday. A Celebration of Life Service was held yesterday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home.
We extend our sympathy to Loretta Wall and family in the loss of her husband, James Wall, (friend of many at Walnut Street). Visitation will be held Friday, March 4 from 3-8 PM and Saturday, March 5 from 9 AM until the time of the funeral at 1 PM at Taylor Funeral Home.
Prayers have been requested for:
- Kimberly Fowlkes and Cooper Fowlkes, who will both undergo treatment in Jackson next week
- Bobby Wright, (father of Richard Wright) who has returned to ICU
- Aly and Jessica West and Annie Lewis, (cousins of Debbie Henderson) who will be doing mission work in Honduras from February 24 to April 21

Walnut Street will participate in a Habitat for Humanity Build on Saturday. It’s not too late to sign up! Call the office if you would like to participate.
March’s Wednesday Express Meal will be held on March 9th at 6 PM. The menu will be fried chicken, baked potatoes, green beans, and dessert. Mark your calendar for Walnut Street’s annual Ladies’ Day, to be held Saturday, March 5 in the auditorium. Registration will begin at 8:15 in the gathering room, along with breakfast snacks and beverages. Our speaker will be Lori Whitaker. A sign-up sheet is available in the gathering room.
The Golden Deeds Ministry is collecting toilet paper or paper towels during the month of February. Each month this ministry collects a different item to be shared with the homeless of our community. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.
Due to a painting project, the church office will be closed on Monday, February 28. However, the office staff will be able to be reached by phone for anyone who needs assistance.
