Volunteers Needed: A Christmas program has been planned in the Waverly community on Saturday, December 4 from 2-5 PM at the Humphreys County Fairgrounds (sponsored by the Humphreys County Emergency Management Office) to support and encourage survivors of the recent flood. They are in need of volunteers for the following tasks: wrap gifts, serve cookies and hot cocoa, read stories to children, make ornaments with children and park vehicles. They have reached out to Walnut Street specifically because of our great support of Waverly in recent weeks. If you are interested in helping, please call the church office.

Make plans to join the Family Fellowship Christmas Pancakes and Pajamas Party on Saturday, December 11 at 9 AM in the Fellowship Hall. There is no charge for breakfast, but donations will be taken to help provide some gifts for our Mission House families. This event is for families with children at home.

The Golden Deeds Ministry is collecting disposable plates & cups during the month of November. Each month this ministry collects a different item to be shared with the homeless of our community. Look for the collection bin in the Gathering Room.

Reading for today: 1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:1-4 (My Life in Him Devotional Book page 280)
