We extend our sympathy to Valerie Littleton and family in the loss of her father, Bill Bowker, who passed away Tuesday. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8 PM at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM, also at Taylor Funeral Home. He was the grandfather of Jake, Olivia and Luke Littleton.

• Marie Yates, who has moved from Horizon to NHC (room 210)
• Beverly Barber, who will undergo eye surgery today at Horizon

• Bonnie Crabtree, (granddaughter of Jerry and Pamela Massie) who is in Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville with an infection
• The Piland family, who has requested prayer and support from their church family
• David Pippin, who will undergo scans today and will receive results on Friday
• David Richardson, (father of Brian Richardson) who has been diagnosed with bladder cancer
• Velma Jackson, (sister of Thelma Ryland) who will undergo a biopsy on Friday
• Norman Yates, (father of Mike Yates) who is in Vanderbilt (room 11028) with fluid on his heart
• Monteen Roberson, (mother of Thelma Ryland) who is in Centennial Medical Center recovering from an arterial angiogram
• Leonard Deen, (father of Lynette Carlucci) who is not doing well
• Peggy Fisher, (sister of Sherrie Spencer) who is recovering from a stroke

Walnut Street Bible class teachers, there will be a teacher training on Sunday, September 15 from 5:15 to 5:45 PM in the chapel. This training is for teachers of nursery through 5th grade classes.

September’s items for the Golden Deeds Ministry are trail mix and a small laundry detergent.
Join us for our next Food for Thought lunch to be held Tuesday, September 10 at noon. Our menu will be baked pasta, salad and bread and cheesecake. This month’s speaker will be Larry Snow. Tomorrow is the deadline to sign up.
Also make plans to attend September’s Wednesday Express Meal on September 11 at 6 PM. The menu with be chicken and dressing, corn and cranberry salad.
The Shut-In Visitation Team will meet and enjoy a fellowship meal this Sunday following evening worship service.
