We wish to congratulate Terri Thompson who was baptized Sunday morning.

We extend our sympathy to Tommy Nicks and family in the loss of his mother, Jane Nicks, who passed away Friday. A memorial service was held Monday at Taylor Funeral Home. She was the grandmother of Patrick Nicks and the great grandmother of Ellie, John and Maggie Nicks.

We extend our sympathy to Kim Shelton and family in the loss of her husband, Robert Shelton. Funeral services were held Saturday at Dickson Funeral Home. He was the father of Mason, Lola and Jaxson Shelton. (Family Life Group: Brown)

• Fara White and Mary Grace White, who left this morning for mission work in the Philippines and will return September 10.
• Beverly Barber, who will undergo cataract surgery Thursday at Horizon
• Pete Peterson, (new member) who is recovering from surgery
• Jim Webster, who is scheduled for a cardiac catheterization and possible stent surgery on Thursday in Tucson, AZ
• Alex Oslund, (niece of Judy Choate) who has been diagnosed with cancer; more scans to come
• Bill Bowker, (father of Valerie Littleton) who has been placed on hospice care
• Ray Rye, (son-in-law of Betty Owen) who is recovering at home from open heart surgery
• David Richardson, (father of Brian Richardson) who is recovering from surgery and will have a biopsy this week
• Niki Work, (friend of Brian & Meghan Richardson) who has been diagnosed with breast cancer

August’s items for the Golden Deeds Ministry are small Bibles (not just a NT) and Band-Aids. These items will be added to backpacks for the homeless in our community. There is a collection bin in the Gathering Room.
