We wish to congratulate Blake & Lily Tyler on the birth of their son, Blaze Danuel Tyler, who was born Saturday. Proud big sister is Ember Tyler and proud great grandparents Preston & Brenda Thompson.
We extend our sympathy to Evan Radtke and family in the loss of his grandfather, Ronald Harville, who passed away Saturday. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
We extend our sympathy to Anita Luther in the loss of her husband, John Luther. Funeral services were held on Sunday at Walnut Street. He was the father of Martha Terry.
We extend our sympathy to Virginia Wright and family in the loss of her husband, Dr. George Wright. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, July 13 from 11 AM-2 PM at Taylor Funeral Home. He was the father of Pat Wright.
We extend our sympathy to Myra Measells in the loss of her daughter, Jana Measells. A memorial service is scheduled for July 20 in Illinois.

• Jonathan Wooten, who suffered a broken ankle during parachute jump school and will undergo surgery today
• J.C. Tidwell, who will undergo outpatient surgery at St. Thomas West on Thursday
• Donna Profitt, (sister of Beverly Spicer) who has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and will undergo surgery on August 5th
• Judy Choate, whose arteriogram was clear
• Mason Bruce, (nephew of Kelly and BJ Owen) who is recovering from brain surgery (he can receive cards at Monroe Carell Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Room 8419, 2200 Children’s Way, Nashville, TN 37232
• Dorinda Wilson, who is recovering from double knee replacement surgery
• Maylee Wilshire, (friend of Meredith Mangrum) who had a bone marrow biopsy, port placement and the first cycle of chemo on Tuesday

Walnut Street’s Food Pantry assisted 28 families in June! Our current pantry needs are peanut butter, canned chicken, Vienna sausages, macaroni and cheese and canned fruit.
Walnut Street’s Vacation Bible School is just around the corner! Sunday, July 14 through Wednesday, July 17 we will learn all about TOOLS to Build up the Church! Come out and enjoy skits, crafts, games and refreshments. Volunteers are needed, contact John or Robyn Lampley if you’d like to help.
Please note that the Bible Bowl quiz has been moved to Wednesday, July 10 at 5:45 PM in the auditorium.
The Shut-In Visitation Team will pick up cards in the library due to VBS on Sunday, July 14.

July’s items for the Golden Deeds Ministry are plastic utensils and water. These items will be added to backpacks for the homeless in our community. There is a collection bin in the Gathering Room.
