We wish to congratulate Allyson Williams who was baptized Sunday. Allyson is the daughter of Bob and Cissy Williams and the granddaughter of Milton and Joan Williams and Jane Keef.

- Jean Gooch, who is in NHC (room 226) for rehab
- Roy Burkhart, who will undergo four weeks of treatment beginning October 9
- David Porter, awaiting test results
- Eddie Barber, (brother of Ted Barber) who is recovering from successful quadruple bypass surgery
- Mary Sawyer Cox and newborn daughter, who are improving, but remain hospitalized following the birth on Saturday. Mary grew up at Walnut Street and is the niece of Martha Owen and Marie Sawyer.
- Louise Biter, (sister of Liz Graham) who is in St. Thomas, possible surgery
- Jean Smith, (friend of Peggy Bean, attends Water Street) who has health issues

Today is the deadline to sign up for our next Food for Thought luncheon, which will be held Tuesday, October 9. This month’s menu will be beef stroganoff and noodles, salad and dessert. Our speaker will be Larry Snow.
Walnut Street’s annual Trunk or Treat outreach event will take place on Saturday, October 27. Please begin bringing candy and treats! A basket has been placed in the lower Gathering Room.
Homebuilders, mark your calendars for a bonfire and hayride on Friday, October 26 at the home of Joseph and Jamie Brown. More details to come.
Sign-up sheets are available in the Gathering Room for a Senior Ministry trip to Tuscumbia, AL on October 25. The group will tour the birthplace and home of Helen Keller, as well as the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Space is limited to the first 50 people to sign up and pay.
The Men’s and Women’s Mission Houses need some basic repairs. If you have some experience with construction, we can use your help on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20. There is a sign-up sheet in the Gathering Room detailing specific areas of need. For more information please see Sherman Cline.
