Congratulations to Jaxson Shelton who was baptized Monday.  Jaxson is the son of Robert and Kimberly Shelton.

We extend our sympathy to Michelle LeCompte in the loss of her mother, Juliet Smith, who passed away Tuesday.  Funeral arrangements will be handled by Taylor Funeral Home, details are not known at this time.

 We extend our sympathy to Freida Givens in the loss of her husband, Edison Givens, who passed away Thursday. Funeral services were held Monday at the Dickson Funeral Home. He was the father of Kirk Givens and the grandfather of Kelby, Esther and Ben Givens.

Our own Shasta Brown will speak at an upcoming Ladies’ Day at the Rosemark Church of Christ in Rosemark, TN on Saturday, September 22.  Registration will begin at 9:30 AM; lunch will be served.  All ladies are welcome to attend.

Join us for our next Wednesday Express Meal on Wednesday, September 12 at 6 PM. The menu will be chicken and dressing, corn, cranberry salad and dessert. Cost is $5 per person. Great fellowship opportunity!

Don’t miss Walnut Street’s 2nd Annual Special Outdoor Worship Service and Picnic Sunday, September 23 at 6 PM at Holland Park. The Clement Railroad Museum will be open free of charge from 4-6 PM. Sign-up sheets for baked beans, potato salad, chips and desserts will be available in all adult classes Sunday morning.
