We extend our sympathy to Wayne Lewis and family in the loss of his grandfather, Howard D. Lewis, who passed away Wednesday in Florence, AL. He was the great grandfather of Chase Lewis and Seth Lewis. Funeral arrangements are not known at this time.
We extend our sympathy to Seth and Drew Reynolds in the loss of their father, Landon Reynolds. He was the son of Jim and Ruby Reynolds and the brother of Sharon Webster. Visitation will be held today from 4 to 8 PM, and Friday from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM at Taylor Funeral Home.
Prayers are requested for:
- Chase Lewis, who has returned home from the hospital
- Myra Measells, who has returned home from Dickson Health and Rehab
- Amber Richardson, (friend of Brandie Felts, a guest in our ladies’ Mission House) who is very ill

Reminder that we have begun the following safety protocols. The Fellowship Hall door at the ramp on Chestnut will be unlocked at 7:30 am (for George Caudill’s 8 am Bible class). The two main doors on the east and west back Auditorium will open at 8:15 am. None of the other doors will be unlocked. This same protocol will be in place on Sunday evening and Wednesday evening too. All doors will be locked 15 minutes after each service begins. Security team members will be available to admit late arrivals at the Auditorium entrances.

Men, mark your calendars for the upcoming Men’s Fall Retreat, September 14-15. This year’s speaker will be John Pippin from Baxter Church of Christ. The cost is $29 per person which includes lodging (attendees bring bedding) for the evening and 3 meals. The location is Camp Ridgedale at 1470 Bear Creek Rd., Vanleer, TN. Sign up in the Gathering Room.
Our own Shasta Brown will speak at an upcoming Ladies’ Day at the Rosemark Church of Christ in Rosemark, TN on Saturday, September 22. Registration will begin at 9:30 AM; lunch will be served. All ladies are welcome to attend.
All 3rd-5th graders are invited to a CIA movie day on Sunday from 1-3:15 PM in the Youth Loft.
Make plans to attend our September Food for Thought luncheon, Tuesday, September 11 at noon; this will be a special appreciation lunch for all Dickson County first responders (RSVP must be received by Thursday, September 6)
Join us for our next Wednesday Express Meal on Wednesday, September 12 at 6 PM. The menu will be chicken and dressing, corn, cranberry salad and dessert. Cost is $5 per person. Great fellowship opportunity!
