It’s college time again! Secret Pals are needed for the 2018-2019 school year for Walnut Street students in college.  You can be a pal to a student of your choice OR you and a friend can be a pal for a student.  (It is sometimes easier if you have a pal partner.) If you are interested in being a pal, please find the Secret Pal page at the sign-up desk.

The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be in the Fellowship Hall today from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. There is an emergency blood shortage at this time.

Volunteers are needed for a work day this Saturday, August 11 (8 AM) at Leatherwood Bible Camp.  This work day is to prepare for the upcoming construction of the new dining hall.

Make plans to attend our August Food for Thought luncheon, Tuesday, August 14 at noon; speaker is Bryan McAlister and menu is lasagna, salad, bread and dessert. Deadline to sign up is Friday, August 10.

The Shut-In visitation team will pick up cards in the Gathering Room after evening service on Sunday, August 12.

Walnut Street’s Wednesday Morning Bible Class is hosting a meet and greet on Wednesday, August 15 from 10-11 AM, to kick off their fall session. It will take place in room 406. Contact Judy Hinson for more information.

All ladies are invited to a come-and-go bridal shower honoring Mary Corlew bride of Josh Corlew on Sunday, August 19 from 1-2:30 PM in the Gathering Room. She is registered at Target and Amazon.com. Josh is the son of Joe & Rachel Corlew.
