- Irene Garton, (mother of B.J. Garton) who is in NHC recovering from hip surgery

September’s Food for Thought luncheon will be Tuesday, September 12; the menu is lasagna and our speaker will be Matt Hiatt form Burns Church of Christ. Today is the deadline to RSVP!
Make plans to attend the Wednesday Express Meal on September 13 at 6 PM. The menu will be barbecue, baked beans and potato salad.
Sunday, September 10 Walnut Street will have a Special Contribution opportunity to support the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief. Make your checks out to Walnut Street Church of Christ and noted for “Disaster Relief”. Also, contributions can be given to any elder or minister between now and then.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Men’s Retreat to be held Friday, September 22 (6 PM) to Saturday, September 23 (lunch) at Camp Ridgedale. Sign up in the Gathering Room.
The Ladies’ Thursday Morning Bible study will be meeting from 9-11 AM in the Loft. The study title is a workbook: entitled “Living Stones” based on 1 Peter 2:5 taught by Sherrie Spencer.
All ladies are invited to join the Tuesday Evening Ladies’ Bible study, which meets each week at 6 PM in the Loft. This group will be doing an in-depth study of 12 of our One Word Devotionals. The study will be led by Nancy Gordon.
Please keep in prayer all of our youth and the Walnut Street adults supporting them for Saturday’s Bible Bowl in Cookeville, TN.
There will be a D.O.T.S outing (Dining Out Together Sisters) to Colton’s on Thursday, September 14 at 6 PM. All ladies are encouraged to attend and invite a friend! Sign up by next Wednesday in the Gathering Room.
